Week 13

Presentation of FINAL Project

Your final project will utilize all of the techniques you learned in class.  We will explore how to use these techniques and apply them to an initial concept.  How can a two-dimensional image be utilized for self-expression?  How can it convey an emotion or idea to its viewer?

Homework Assigned:

  • Complete preliminary studies for your final project
  • Class Preparation: You will need your 18” x 24” sheet of watercolor paper and painting materials next week, along with all other materials.
  • E-Portfolio: Post an image to your homepage (blog portion of your wordpress webpage) that you now find interesting that you would not have necessarily liked or thought twice about prior to this class. It can be an interesting design, advertisement, logo, abstract artwork that you find on the Internet, in a magazine, or photograph from a sign or poster. Write where you found the image, what it is, and why it is visually interesting to you!
